About the event

Objective: Work with Trent PTS to implement new procedures and training based on Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT) and Deliberate Practice curriculum developed and endorsed by the International Center for Clinical Excellence.

Goals: To improve client outcomes and prevent staff burnout at Trent PTS by encouraging them too deeply engage in deliberate practice and develop a more feedback informed culture.

Project Outline: Through a series of intimate, by-weekly meeting Cindy Hansen will work with key members of the Team at Trent PTS to help them implement new procedures and training opportunities. Meeting will include multi-media presentations, case examples, assessments, surveys and handouts. Each lesson will conclude with an agreed upon training or implementation task for them to report back on at the next meeting. Links to resources and tools will be posted for each session in Train the Trainers. Only participating members of Trent PTS will have access.

Accessing FIT Culture

Tuesday, January 11th 3-5pm GMT

A discussion comparing current data collection & outcome reporting compliance with FIT Core Competencies. Introduce and complete the Feedback Readiness Index and Fidelity Measure, a way to quantify your Feedback-Culture baseline and clarify organizational goals.

Failing Successfully

Tuesday, January 25th 3-5pm GMT

A discussion comparing FIT best practices with current responses to poor client, therapist or program outcomes. Add-ins and Take-aways Collaborate and identify three policies or procedures that need to be added, adjusted or taken away to create a more feedback informed culture at Trent PTS.

Deliberate Practice

Tuesday, February 8th 3-5pm GMT

Making Sense of the Data, a review of current methods for helping staff establish a performance baseline and the introduction of recommended indices. Focus on non-random errors. A discussion on how the focus needs to move from looking at a problem client to finding a problem pattern that emerges with certain kinds of clients. Introducing the Taxonomy of Deliberate Practice and complete the Taxonomy as a supervisor.
